This walking tour will take you through the origins and evolution of modern Catalan cuisine, showing how the revolution of the traditional Ampurdan recipe from the 1960s gave way to the culinary avant-garde of today. On this route, you will enjoy exclusive pairings at iconic places in Figueres, which have witnessed historic moments of local gastronomy.
The first pairing takes place at Celler de Ca la Teta, a gastronomic institution that became Salvador Dalí’s private dining room. Here, you will taste a delicious dish of sea and mountain paired with a wine from the Empordà region.
The second pairing takes place at El Motel, another historical place, where we will sit near the table frequented by Josep Pla. Here, we will taste seasonal cuisine with the perfect wine pairing for each dish.
